Sherri’s Faves: Acai Bowls & Morning Walks

“I am not a gym person by any means, but I love yoga and morning walks before sunrise. When time permits, I enjoy using my juicer to make homemade veggie and fruit juices. My favorite recipe is my kale, apple and celery juice. I also drink homemade smoothies that I whip up using my Ninja blender!”


Go Green Kale Juice


Ingredients :


5 large kale leaves


2 green or Fuji apples


1 celery stick


Directions: Wash and prepare all produce then push through a juicer. Cut celery

into 1-inch pieces to prevent fibers from being jammed in your juicer. Use organic produce whenever possible. Serve immediately over ice.

“I love taking hikes and walks on nature paths in Sacramento along the river and when I travel. I start my morning with daily vitamins along with a great collagen powder I mix in with my coffee. I am always looking for ways to make the things I am baking or cooking healthier. Some of my favorites lately are using the new air fryer instead of actually frying food and also making smoothies at home with whatever fresh fruit/veggies I could find at the farmers market. Each morning before I get ready, I remind myself why that day is going to be awesome. I find that starting my mindset on a positive note leads to a more productive, happy day. I am not much of a morning person...so doing this really helps me get into the right perspective.”
