2021 Real Estate Market Trends & Predictions

As we head into 2021, Sacramento has been singled out as the area that's expected to have the nation's hottest housing market, according to Realtor.com.

People who move to Sacramento find a vibrant food scene in a city close to the Bay Area with some affordable housing compared to other parts of California.

Additionally, many renters in the San Francisco area have recently become first-time homebuyers in the Sacramento region. They are working remotely, so they can now live anywhere they want. Many are choosing neighborhoods in Elk Grove, Oak Park, Tahoe Park, Arden-Arcade and West Sacramento.

Although it’s considered a seller’s market, low interest rates and government programs for first-time homebuyers, are making homeownership affordable, despite the increase in home prices we are seeing across the region.

Despite everything that happened last year, the real estate market not only survived but thrived, playing a big part in our economic recovery along the way. The next 12 months are looking just as promising, with interest rates expected to remain low, buyer traffic staying high and inventory levels predicted to rise.
